The Revolution

| When Charles was still a child there was a revolution in France. Noble families were being put on trial and many nobles were executed on the Guillotine. | |||

Many nobles fled to save
their lives. Charles' mother had a plan to save the queen who was imprisoned by
the revolutionaries. Because they were so alike, she hoped to take the queen's
place in prison and let her escape. The queen would not allow it and she was
executed. The De Forbin Jansons had to flee for their lives.
